Ghanaian Government to take pockets off police uniforms as means to fight corruption

Ghana wants to step up their level of democracy by setting up a plan to roll out police corruption. Corruption, as we know, is the ‘worst disease’ in most African countries, resulting to many financial crisis among others. Amazingly, Ghana is not even ranked in the Top 20 African countries, yet such a decision is set.

Ghana government has set up this plan by a decision to remove pockets from police uniforms. This decision has been lauded by many citizens, who believe police operations will be clear as there’ll be no where to hide.

This decision was arrived at by President Nana Akufo-Addo, as part of measures to fight bribery and corruption. It will take effect as from August 2017.
