The Woman Crush Wednesday column is to celebrate ladies that are creating impact in our society and the world at large so that it can inspire others to create same impact then we can change the world together.
This week we look into the life of a lady who is becoming a media sensation and TV sweetheart. Call her Mimi Akeh, Our Woman crush wednesday.
With her infectious personality and charming wit, she is one of the most sought after TV presenters for red carpet events in Cameroon. She is blessed with an amazing body, a great presenter intelligent and bold, Mimi graces the TV Screen with so much sexiness and boldness
She started her career in 2010 as an Emcee ,hosting variety of events from, church weddings, conferences, live shows ,music competitions and fashion shows etc. In 2013 ,she went into production of her own TV show (The SpiceShow ) In which she featured Top Cameroonian ,Nigerian, Ghanaian and European celebrities in Films, Fashions and Television in the likes of John Dumelo ,Larry Koldsweat and other Cameroonian Actors. In 2015,she signed a contract with LTM TV Douala to air her show. The Show aired for a while, and when her dream of creating her own TV grew, she moved to Yaounde, Cameroon, where she launched her Online Television known as Ace Online Television. An African based Online Television created to inspire young Africans to pursue their dreams, achieve them and make this continent proud, through inspirational and Motivational Content. The Online TV show also features Celebrities, Top Executives Directors, Companies managers, high profile personalities etc living in Africa, Europe USA and Asia.
Mimi’s expertise, professionalism and charismatic personality are only a few of the traits that have made her the number one among her peers .She recently hosted the Ecrans Noir film festival 2017 Red Carpet which went live on several TV channels (Canal 2 international ,STV, CRTV etc.) and was viewed by more than 30 million viewers across Africa.

She is also passionate about developing her community, and together with her elder sister, they founded the Spice Youth International (SYI). A non-governmental, not-for-profit organization, working in Cameroon with children/youths, parents, government and intergovernmental bodies in the promotion of community welfare. It works to identify the needs of youths especially the rural child/youths, the underprivileged and the weaker section of the society through participatory approaches. SYI’s mission is to promote education, health, livelihoods and micro-finance, and building relationships for youths, their families and the communities in which they live.
