Bamenda: Road dug, Amour Mezam buses destroyed, travel pace retarded by pro-independence fighters


Buses were trapped in Mile 8 AKum, in the North West Region of Cameroon last night as Pro-independence fighters blocked the highway around 9 PM as Reported by CNA.

Karawa Diary learned that the normal checks that go on on this road and the identification of passengers lasted over 3hours with blocked roads.

Roads dug, hence slowing travel process

Some 70 seater buses had their tyres punctured while passengers were told to simply step down.

Reports also say phones were seized to avoid any calls but were later returned.

Developing stories this morning has it that Amour Mezam buses were  destroyed last night as buses making night journey from Bamenda were stucked around Akum

Information Reaching Karawa Diary also has it that a driver was reportedly shot. Vehicles have been leaving today but at a very slow pace.
